The NaySayers.

They never speak good of you
Even when you have done so well
They are very quick to judge
And slander with their flippant tongues
They are watching you



Hoping to see you fail
They are insatiable
Never satisfied with your very best
They look you in the face
And tell you how much of a failure you are
How disappointed they are in you
They predict doom for you future
Even though it looks so bright
They surround you with so much negativity
Their lips never utter positive words
They rejoice when you lose
They make merry when you fail
They are the nay-sayers
So my dear, now you have known
Never surrender your dreams to them
Nor give in to their limitations
They are not the custodians of your destiny
They do not hold your future
They lack vision and love
They lack fulfilment and joy
They only seek to destroy
Every growing thing in their path
They fume and rage at your progress
They do all they can to stop you
And put our your shining light
But you, you alone own your destiny
You forge it and make it come true
Show them you back
And trudge ahead
Let them talk and talk
While you do and do.
